Bread World is a bread and pastry maker, based in Kochi in Kerala. The food retailer is specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of rich breads, cakes, cupcakes, tea snacks and cookies. They also retail delicious smoothies, drinks, biscuits, burgers, sandwiches and desserts.

 

Bread World caters to a large audience of food lovers who believe that freshness of taste should be clubbed with value for money. The preservative-free short eats and quick bites at Bread World have earned name and fame in the homes of many Kochiites.

 

Right from its humble beginnings in 2001, Bread World has been serving exquisite bread-based foods, desserts and pastries to the taste-conscious customers. Bread World is the sister concern of Choice Specialty Food Products Private Limited (CSFPL), a well-established food retail chain in Kerala. The Choice Group are the distributors of top brands such as Amul, Nestle, Dabur, McCain, Morde, Morton, Monin, American Garden, Bells, Daurala, Suguna, Del Monte, Food Cost, Fortune, Allana, CP, SFP, Pagro, Toschi, Hersheys, Naturesmith, Frutins, Figaro, Basso, Costa-De-Oro, Arrighi, Kelloggs, Remia, Britto, Lee Kum Kee, Olicoop, Pure Heaven, GRB, Klin Wrap, Hindalco, etc. The group is Kerala’s largest supplier of processed foods, food grade packing materials and housekeeping products to the hospitality industry. Most of the prestigious luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants and airline caterers source their requirements from CSFPL and its associate concerns. The “Choice” way of life advocates high benchmarks of quality, which has been translated into the bakes and specials at Bread World.

History

Bread World was set up by visionaries with an ambition to promote healthy high-quality eats throughout Kerala. The association with CSFPL, availability of modern technology and high quality raw material has has enabled Bread World to revolutionise the concept of Bakery Products. The brand branched out from a single small baking unit in 2001 to 14 outlets at present distributed across Kochi.

 

In the year 2011, the company established a centrally air-conditioned production center conforming to ISO/HACCP norms. The unit commenced production in January 2012 under the name and style of “Thomson Processed Foods.”

 

In the span of a few years, Bread World has been able to pave their way into the hearts of a large number of customers and have been able to earn their loyalty. In due course of time, the brand proposes to come up  with its stores in all major towns across the state of Kerala.

Managing Director

 

Mr. P.T. Antony, Managing Director – Having completed his graduation from Delhi University, obtained Diploma in Sales Management and Marketing from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and joined NAFED Processed Foods, in their Marketing/Sales Department in Delhi. During the 12 years of service with NAFED, he extensively toured all over the country and gained in-depth knowledge of food industry. His zeal and the entrepreneurship within him prompted to enter the food business resigning his employment with NAFED. The varied experience he gained in food industry coupled with his experience of dealing with the leading star hotels in the state has proven to be the guiding light of this group of business.

 

P.T. KURIAN

(Director)

 

A graduate in Commerce from Delhi University, he has more than 30 years of experience in Banking Sector in senior positions and has served Union Bank of India in various North Indian states including Delhi.  His deep rooted love for food and food business prompted him to take VRS from the Bank at the first available opportunity in 2001 and he got himself relocated to Kerala to join the business as the Group embarked on diversification and played a vital role in establishing Breadworld, the prestigious bakery, confectionery & fast Food chain owned by the group.

 

ARUN ANTONY

(Chief Operating Officer)

 

After finishing Bachelors in Business Administration from Rajagiri College of Management and Applied Sciences in 2008, he worked with Choice Speciality Food Products [P] Ltd. for two years and later on completed Master of International Hospitality Management from Le Cordon Bleu, Adelaide, Australia in the year 2012.He worked with the National Wine Centre of Australia for two years and did his internship with Hilton Adelaide as part of curriculum. He has also undergone an intensive training for 6 months in PAESANO, a leading bakery products manufacturing unit at Adelaide, Australia. At present he is looking after the marketing operations.
